Facilitation

Does your board need an objective, strategic facilitator for its next strategy planning session? Do you have teams that would benefit from some time and space together? Are staff asking for opportunities to develop and focus together? Is it time for a new team plan or is change management on the horizon? Are challenging and changing contexts having an impact on your team?

As a facilitator my approach is to work collaboratively and positively with teams and individuals. I am an inclusive, practical and challenging trainer, facilitator and mentor. From experience, I know what it is like to manage and oversee teams of different sizes, including remote workers, operating in ever changing contexts and working on really challenging issues. I am a skilled and highly experienced public speaker and media spokesperson, have delivered training both in person and remotely on a wide range of topics, and chaired and facilitated numerous events. I offer:

  • board away day / meeting facilitation

  • team building and development sessions

  • facilitation of vision, strategy and theory of change sessions

  • planning and evaluation sessions (including process evaluations)

  • change management guidance and support

  • staff development, wellbeing and training events

I can facilitate in person, by video call or by phone. If you’d like to find out more or have a free initial chat, please get in touch-I’d love to hear from you.

“I really enjoyed working with Madeleine to deliver an incredibly constructive Board awayday. Madeleine was really skilled at analysing our needs and developing a coherent and effective agenda to make best use of our Trustees’ precious time. She also had very deft facilitation skills to ensure everyone participated, and was able to adapt with the flow as the conversation evolved whilst keeping us focused on our priorities. We ended the day feeling empowered and with a clear plan of action.”

- Isobel Hunter, Chief Executive, Libraries Connected

“Madeleine expertly facilitated a series of strategy discussions, involving a diverse group of stakeholders seeking to improve our cooperation and collective impact. The meetings were well-structured, productive, and conducted in such a way that all stakeholders could be – and feel – heard, which was essential to achieving consensus on the final strategy.”

- Rohan Talbot, Director of Advocacy and Communications, Medical Aid for Palestinians

“Madeleine and I have worked together since 2016 to deliver reflective practice workshops for FIND network members; between 25 and 30 people in any one session. Madeleine is clearly comfortable working with groups, with a gentle and fun yet effective style of delivery. She is attentive to the needs of both participants and her co-facilitators, and is a joy to work with.”

— Jaqueline Hill, Leadership Coach and Change Mentor

“Madeleine is fantastic to work with. She is dedicated, self-motivated, proactive and highly capable. Having co-founded the FIND network with her and worked alongside her at Christian Aid, I've seen first hand her ability to think creatively, her attention to detail and her ability to inspire those around her through her facilitation style and methods. She is generous with her time, has great interpersonal skills, and holds herself to the highest standards. Madeleine is passionate about her work and passionate about supporting those around her to have the greatest impact possible.”

— Rebecca Sinclair, Senior Manager, Programme Strategy & Innovation at Christian Aid; Co-founder of the FIND Network

“Balanced. Informative. Powerful narrative. Contextualised effectively with a real focus on the humanitarian plight. Added real value to the students knowledge and understanding. Should be part of a series of lectures. Genuinely inspiring.”

- Academic Vice Principal at a 6th Form College, following a talk for students and staff about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza
