About me
I work to support people and organisations around the world who live their values and stand up for what is right, at a time when doing that can be very tough.
I want the world we live in to be one of hope, love and respect, and whether through my paid work or how I raise my children, this is why I do what I do. If that sounds up your street and you’re looking for a committed consultant, a friendly facilitator, or a motivational mentor, I’d love to work with you.
I have a diverse and unique range of experience across local, domestic and international social justice and human rights issues. My consultancy services are grounded in my experience of working with a wide range of different organisations, networks and campaigns. These include Mind, Christian Aid, CARE International UK, Libraries Connected, The Roundhouse, HelpAge International, Quaker Peace and Social Witness, Women’s Aid, Time To Change, Medical Aid for Palestinians, YMCA, Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse, and WaterAid. This sits alongside an extensive track record of people management and development, mentoring and facilitation.
As a graduate of the CASS Business School Centre for Charity Effectiveness Outstanding Leadership course and with a career history of delivering multi-million pound programmes, advocacy strategies and campaigns, I have worked with organisations and teams to develop their strategies, mission, values, and theory of change, as well as on influencing, public affairs, policy, programme and campaign delivery.
My experience spans advocacy and policy work at the United Nations, within Government including working with the Prime Minister’s Office, and with employers, on a range of issues, as well as the authoring and communicating of policy and research reports (e.g. conflict and resilience building, age and disability, and mental health at work). I have extensive media experience including on national radio and television and have represented organisations and issues in these settings. I offer facilitation and mentoring to support charity boards, teams and individuals to increase their social impact and love working with passionate people who want to make a difference.
I have worked with boards as a consultant, and as a current trustee of human rights charity Amos Trust, The Birth Partner Project, and the Community Orchard for Bute Park. I was the co-founder of The FIND Network, which connects, empowers and supports women interested or involved in international development.
When not doing paid or voluntary work or having fun with children in the park, I dabble in photography, cooking and writing. You read more on LinkedIn.
